Examples of projects that show the progression of my practice - from creating public artworks, to facilitating participation, to now researching how public art can create meaningful conversations about life, loss and community.
Tower Bridge Road Mural (with Matlakas)
Co-created with local residents using Bermondsey archives alongside conversations with people passing the site. The mural evolved through stories gathered during the painting process, including contributions from Joan (pictured).
This project made me realise that the conversations generated through making public art could be as meaningful as the finished artwork, sparking my interest in participation as a creative methodology.
Entelechy Arts - Workshop Facilitation Commission
Designed and delivered a 12-week creative programme with Lewisham Homes care home residents, combining costume, storytelling and movement in preparation for the Age Against the Machine Festival.
This deepened my facilitation practice and showed me how creative participation can build trust, encourage storytelling and create meaningful shared experiences—skills I now want to develop further through research-led public art.
MuralHouse – Rathbone Society
Designed and painted in collaboration with residents at this independent care home. The wraparound mural was developed through creative workshops exploring the people, places and everyday moments that brought residents joy.
This project reinforced my interest in using participatory processes to shape public artworks and demonstrated how co-creation can build ownership, connection and meaningful conversations within a community.
